As the first titanium-clad public building in the United States, the Cerritos Library stands out as a gleaming example of the City’s futuristic vision. The color of the titanium skin that covers the building changes subtly depending on the angle of the sun and atmospheric conditions. Entering the building, you will immediately see one of the library’s most striking features: a spectacular 10-foot by 21-foot 15,000-gallon saltwater aquarium. The aquarium frames the entryway to the Children’s Library on one side while giant books decorate the entrances. Inside, a 40-foot authentic replica of a Tyrannosaurus Rex fossil towers over the Children’s Library. Numerous other exhibits designed for exploration give the Children’s Library a museum-like atmosphere.

The Old World Reading Room has collegiate-style arches and contains leather-bound classic books and new books. The room has dark, rich colors and a fireplace with a hologram fire. The Great Room features Arts and Crafts style furnishings. The Art Deco Room is framed by a portal that was inspired by the Pan Pacific Auditorium. The second floor has a high-tech appearance with metallic accents and dozens of computer workstations.

The 3,200-square-foot Skyline Room on the third floor can be accessed via an interior etched glass and titanium staircase or an exterior glass elevator. The Skyline Room accommodate up to 216 guests for a lecture and is an ideal location for banquets and receptions. The room opens onto a roof terrace with a panoramic view of Cerritos. The Skyline Room features state-of-the-art lighting and audio visual capabilities and an open atrium allows guests a view of the first floor. The third floor also features a 1,200-square-foot High-Tech Training Lab where up to 27 students can work at computers arranged theater style. The room features plasma screens, projection, and video conferencing capabilities. The 500-square-foot Board Room has space for small meetings up to 12 people. The Board Room's handsome round hardwood table has ports for computer access along with comfortable seating.
